About this course
Welcome to Some RnR To Rev Up Health Research: R and Resampling training.
I'm really delighted you've enrolled in this training. R and resampling methods are some tools I began using while I was working as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in the National Health Service in Scotland. I think they are invaluable resources for health professionals who want to use the data they are accumulating in the course of their routine daily service provision to ask and answer important questions to make their service more effective, efficient, and accessible.
The course has ten sections that are all completed online and asynchronously, The course will be available for a three-week period so, during this time, you can work through the material at your own pace.
Each section has a video to watch along with a pdf file of the slides from the video and a reading. There is also a Discussion Forum in each section where you can answer questions, post comments, and clarify anything about which you might be puzzling. You could even comment on other people's comments! Various sections have other activities as well such as a demonstration of me using R to solve a statistical problem using resampling methods.

I'm really looking forward to engaging with you throughout the course. It would be an absolute dream come true for me if we were able to create a community of clinicians, researchers, clinician-researchers, and researcher-clinicians, who were all working together to reduce health inequities in rural, remote, and very remote locations. Through our collective efforts we really can make health inequities a quaint relic of a bygone era.
