About this course
Welcome to this introductory training in the Method of Levels (MOL). I’m tremendously excited to be offering this training in an online, asynchronous format. The training is based on face-to-face workshops I’ve developed and delivered. I’ve provided training from a few hours to several days over many years to different groups of people in different countries. For me, MOL and the theory it is based on, Perceptual Control Theory (PCT), offer a genuinely new approach to understanding psychological distress and how we might best provide support and assistance.
You’ll notice in the video for the first section (Outline and Introduction) that I had originally intended to offer this course over a 1-week period anticipating that it would take about 10 hours to complete. Once I had finished developing the course, however, I spent time estimating how long it might take to work through the 15 different sections. With all of the material I have in mind, I think 20 hours is a more realistic timeframe, so I’ll keep the course open for 2 weeks.
I’m really delighted that you’ve enrolled in the course and have offered me the privilege of helping you to learn more about MOL and PCT. I really hope you have a wonderful adventure.
